Wood floors

Well we did it, we splurged and bought some new flooring for our living room and hallways! We did some research and narrowed down our colors and then we started the search. We didn't want a lighter colors (too cheap looking and everyone has it) and then we thought Black Walnut- but after seeing what was out there and pricing, we settled for a darker Pine. We purchased the flooring last night and opened all the boxes to allow the wood to "contract and expand" in its new environment! Thank you all that helped us narrow our selections (brother and contractors)... here is our new flooring laid out... take a sneak peek!

Crimus Gifts

Well, since Christmas was a hectic one this year- Derek and I decided to exchange gifts last night. Although I already knew what I was getting (since I wrapped everything), I was excited to open and finally use some much needed items! I got the much wanted sewing machine, in which Derek was the proud researcher and expert on finding the perfect one! He got his air compressor, a few hand tools, tons of books, and more tools! Along with other things, I got Season 1 and 2 of Gossip Girl (xoxo), a bamboo rolling pin, tea kettle, and of course my yearly fav- Cashmere Bubble Bath! WE also spent a BUTT Load on the house- WE GOT NEW FLOORING! And of course we can't forget our baby girl, Cinny! Santa brought her a fun "Hida-A-Bee" toy; a puzzle and sqeeky toy altogether. All in all- we had a wonderful time opening presents and cant wait to start working on our floors!
Take a look at what we got!

Kitchen + Cookies = A Happy Kitchen

As the holiday's are approaching- time for some cookie's to be created by the new "old" kitchen. My husband and I bought our first house together months ago and as the house renovations have begun, time spent in our kitchen has been ignored. Our kitchen has been a victim of torn wallpaper, paint, and neglect. Last night as we tore the backsplash and wallpaper off the walls- I thought how badly I have treated my kitchen. I have given this kitchen no attention to it's true purpose and I plan on changing this as the weekend approaches.
I plan on baking cookies, cookie bars, and random treats. If you are one of the lucky people who gets some of my goodies- then I thank you for your friendships over the last year! If you don't live local- I'm sorry that you have to miss out on my yummy cookies, cookie bars, and random treats! BUT... I have listed the recipes here if you want to tackle the baking yourself!

Happy Holiday's!!!
